Introduction/Interests:
Robert graduated from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. He started physician training for 2 years at Johannesburg Hospital and completed his FRACP at Prince of Wales/Prince Henry in 1986. He then went into Cardiology training at Prince Henry and completed his training in 1989. He then did 2 years of research in Lipid Abnormalities and Coronary Atherothrombosis . Robert was appointed as a Cardiologist at Sutherland Hospital in 1991, and has fostered the growth of the Department of Cardiology over the last 20 years.

Robert is the most senior specialist in the Department of Cardiology at Sutherland Hospital. He is an all round cardiologist with wide ranging interests in Echocardiography, Cardiac Catherisation, Clinical Cardiology and general medicine. He is also involved in supervising undergraduate, post graduate physician trainees and advanced trainees in Cardiology ongoing education.
